Evening all;

The push button function of the original wiper control switch seems to have packed up and I'm loathed to replace it as the wiper function still works, so I have aquired a new push switch for the washer pump.

I was going to fit it into the centre dash but how do I wire it in; cobble some wires from the original switch or make up a fresh birds nest?

Electrickery is not my forte!

Are you sure the pin hasn't just come adrift from the screw terminal on the back. They don't often fail. The pump is normally the culprit

Toby's right,  you need to chase it down to ensure the switch is at fault before replacing.  Have you got a leccy tester? Multimeter or some other tool (apart from yourself?)

If the actual push switch bit is broken, you can unscrew it and replace it with one from another switch.

It's possible to dissassemble the complete switch and make a two speed one from a pair of knackered single-speeds. In actual fact it's possible to make three twin speed ones from four switches if you're lucky!

And I'd suggest it's much better to repair or replace the proper switch rather than drill another hole in the dash - that's the kind of chimp-like action of the sort future owners of your truck will despair of...

I have a electrickely powerered pump fitted and will endevour to look at wires....

Im sure its simple as i wouldnt have one, solenoid,earth,squishy button,pump in bottle sort of thing 

Is Ablertross on holiday or has he handed the insult banter batten over to you Lurch; must do better.
