Yet more cutting and grinding today.



All the old trimmed away.


New steel tacked in.


I'm going to need to make a repair patch for the top edge as the new steel isn't quite long enough.


Alternative wheels fitted to clear the garage door. ::)

Steering box off today, the ignition lock which I expected to be a pain to drill out the shear bolts was a doddle :smile1


But then to balance things out the foot well has fought me all day and is winning :banghead


Multiple layers of old steel held in with massive surface welds.


Arms like jelly from the grinder vibrations and hammering , back in a at the crack of dawn ;D

It's three layers of steel in places but only two in others, and being the drivers side the I'm working cack handed

With a bit of luck I'll get the repair pieces made and let in on Monday.
