Old Leafsprung Land Rovers

If your using PTFE go steady ,if you use too much it can have the effect of spreading and then cracking the thing your screwing into.I say this as a plumber who uses it a lot and has split many a fitting using it .It might not be a problem with a cast block etc but go steady with anything alloy or monkey metal .
