I did consider seeing if I could get this one reconditioned / exchanged, but I'm not sure if the UK has autogas on a sufficient scale for that to be viable. I can get a new one for £ninety delivered, but the rebuild kits are around the £20 to £30 mark. So if I got someone to recondition this one for me, that leaves £70 to pay for postage each way, reconditioning and testing and I'm not sure that's going to happen at UK prices. There aren't any LPG specialists round my neck of the woods, and I doubt many of them would have an exchange unit on the shelf for the reasons above. I imagine in Holland there's such a big uptake of autogas that things are a bit different.
I reckon what I'm going to do is order a new replacement and a rebuild kit for this one - as we have 3 of these vaps in my extended family, it can't hurt to have a spare floating around.
