Hazards?

Wonder if you guru's can clear sommat up for me! Would my 1975 S3 have had hazard flashers as standard?
 There is a knob on the dash that don't do anything but unsure what it is :-\

they were not standard but an extra - some kits are available  :-?
or you could just fit flashy beacons to the roof  :thumbs:

My 1975 Lightweight has them fitted, but that's a military thing and they fitted stuff as standard before they were fitted to civi vehicles.  As far as I'm aware they do not need to be fitted to vehicles registered before 1986.  However if they are fitted they must work.

My 1979 109 doesn't have hazards (or fog lamps or reversing lights).

Short answer - nope, they weren't mandatory until series production had ended however it seems Land Rover in an unusually generous act fitted them as standard at the end, at least every 1983 and later series 3 I've seen has the centre console with hazards (brake failure lamp and rear fog).

Fantastic! Thanks gents,at least Im not looking for sommat that nots there ;D Its got no fog or reverse lights either but Im thinking a rear fog may be a wise  addition!

So is a reverse light cos people look real shocked when you start to reverse and they are going forward.
