where is it on a series 2a 109? does nt seem to be on the pedal box, is it a hydraulic one?  :WTF

Indeed mate. It's just infront of the drivers side footwell on the chassis. It screws into the four way connection coming down from the master cylinder.

Usual problem is shitty contacts due to wheel spray and collected mud and ****. They are cheep however.

Beware cheap though, I've tried three Shitpart ones that didn't work, in fact I took a continuity tester with me when I went to exchange the second dud one, and the third was a dud, straight from the packet.
I've since found one in an Intermotor box, but I've not used it yet...

Had the same problem with wsl's a few years ago. Sorted it by fitting a new brake light switch from my motorblike. Used a rear brake switch on a bracket in the footwell with a spring from the switch rod to the pedal.
I went this route because I got fed up with having to bleed the brakes everytime a new switch was fitted.
