Old Leafsprung Land Rovers

When I attempted to slacken the centre nut /bolt on one of my rear springs it didn't slacken but instead sheared, sending the bottom 12 inch piece flying across the garage. It's a lwb 7 leaf spring.

I later discovered that a further consequence was the top leaf **** through the centre. Oddly, it didn't happen at the time but at some point overnight

Anyways, do I -
a) pretend it hasn't happened and bolt it back together, clamp it onto the axle and cross my fingers.
b)  try and find a replacement leaf.
c)  buy a new spring (and presumably matching partner for the other side)
d)  consider parabolics.

It's very annoying because the springs weren't sagging. I should have left well alone.

I could swap with the Tacr's 9 leafers as a temporary measure.

All opinions appreciated.

I have a full set of 109 springs (from a 1963 2a 109 truck cab) I removed from mine available for salvage for what it's worth. I believe they''d be ok to rob a leaf or two out of but not suitable for refitting complete (I noticed at least one snapped leaf in one of them)

I'm in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire. Free of course. Even if it's just to weigh them in.

Thanks very much for the offers guys. Sorting out some kind of relay will be the challenge I'm about 150 miles north of the wall.

There would be absolutely no need to feel yourself to be indebted to me! You would be doing me a favour in taking it away. If you would like me to have a root around in the pile I can check as to whether it is still there/in good order/what I think it is/etc just say the word.
