Maybe a broken leaf spring in the synchro unit has blocked the selector ring inside. I fear vou've to open the gearbox cover and have a look.
If that' the reason for the blokage the gearbox has to come off and disassembled.

Fixed >Htlr<
Ball on gearstick end is pretty much non existant, allowing loads of slop, and had got jammed between the shift cups. Loads of scoring didnt help.
Hope to pick one up at Newbury tomorrow :smilewide:
Title: gearbox stuck in 3rd.

On my way home after a cold and windy day at work on my day off, my gearbox decided it only liked 3rd on the busy A30 roundabout. Managed to get home but now with disgay and 109 busted Newbury looks unlikely.
No new noises, and drives OK except gearstick will not move from 3
Had a search on here and : floor up, stick turret off and hope to find something loose, : seems best. Any thing else I should expect.
