Yeah, the bearing is the same size, just the splines that are different.

Well that could be a plan, graft the spline from a fairey shaft onto the toro shaft. Still probably not a cheap exercise though

They could knock one up, but with the prices they charge us at work, I wasn't even going near there!

Evolution automotive in Coventry are the people to talk to about a new shaft and input splines for a Fairey. http://www.shop4autoparts.net/Fairey_Overdrive

I placed a rather timid bid on that Toro listed on Trade me just before it ended tonight http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=780590328
His reserve was $700 rofl :finger:, I think that's a bit too much to be asking if he can't be arsed to make it look the slightest bit presentable, Rusty linkages and shittened up to the eyeballs.

No doubt he'll bung it back on Tard me in the next few days.

I ended up buying that on the fixed price offer for 600, the input spline looks good and figued i would spend that getting the fairly bits of something made to graft on. I may have inadvernantly cornered the market on toro od parts. Plus I just sold a topping mower for 600 that owed me pretty much nothing so I guess a bit of a neutral gain.

Did you know that there is new overdrives available for landrovers?, The Roamerdrive overdrive? You pretty much could have bought one new for what you've spent on old Toros!

Yep for a roverdrive would cost about 3k by the time you got it here.
